ok i know the beginning it is too much work and too expensive...well before that I am asking would the front end or the 4wd from a 72 Jeep Wagoneer (auto C6) fit into my 79 F150(auto C6)...? if so I know the places I can find what to do. I can get the jeep for 200 dollars....perfect running engine, and perfect 4wd. ...this is the point where you say well why not just use the Jeep. and I respond with the floor boards are more than rusted out, and darn near too much is gone, my friend and I (my friend owns it) priced it out to get it working right (electrical, floorboards ....etc) it wasnt worth it..isnt worth it. He'll give it to me for cheap or free, and regardless if I can use the 4wd or not, i'll strip the engine and the transmission, the tires and sell them separatley...so basically would I be able to do the conversion? yes or no? (regardless of the work and money that will have to be put into it)
Jeep to Ford frame splicing? Get out Paper, Pencil and tape measure... Let us know what you find. It is the only way you are going to get the answers you want. This is going ot be a convertion that few if any have done. Anything is possible. Just got to figure out how to get it done.
lol well I know ford and jeep use a lot of universal parts...jeep used everything... I am just wondering if anyone has attempted something like this or if they already know not to waste my time or what
The first and most important thing you need to look at is differential location. Is the front diff on the jeep on the same side as the fords? If i remeber correctly they are not. This could result in alot of problems.
