Its probably the the Brain box for the module...it was posted earlyier that they can be troublesom.... i know i have the right parts.... and i do all my own work...i have been through the brakes many times trying to find the problem....and the speed sensor is inside the hub...it reads off of the internals of the hub itself... not the rotor at all...
the rotors cant have anything to do with it...the sensor is just a coil that reads the teeth that go by it and sends the signal to the brain box... totaly seperate from the physical brakes...in fact the rear speed sensor is on the diff housing and nowhere near the wheels...
The front speed sensors are serviceable? It looks like the wheel bearing has to be replaced as an assy. My ABS light was coming on and the ABS would activate at 10 mph. (or less), but I had normal braking until then. I put my scan tool on it and looked at speed sensor input. Both the r.f. and rear speed sensor were reading right. However, the l.f. at the 10 mph reading would drop to 3 mph instantly. The ABS module was seeing this as the l.f. wheel being locked up, thereby activating the ABS. I replaced the l.f. wheel bearing assy. and the problem is gone. Hope this helps.
