I'm in the final stages of putting my 460 back together in my 78. When I pulled the truck into the garage I notice that the power steering did not work at all. I checked the fluid right away and found it to be very foamy. The fluid was actually pushing out of the cap. I think I should just buy a new/used pump. I was looking for any recomendations. I am currently running 35x14.50 boggers and plan on going to a 37 as soon as I find a good set. The truck is for off road use only. Any suggestions?

Are you sure that it wasn't just not fully purged, yet? To get it to purge all of the air after being refilled you will need to turn the wheel lock to lock several times with the engine running to get all of the bubbles out. I have seen where an air pocket will get left behind and when the engine is shut off it expands from the heat and shoves the fluid out of the cap.
