Power steering pump

This is my second rebuilt pump. 1997 4.6 four wheel drive. Automatic transmission ac. The power steering works fine on the road. Once I slow down it fades. The last pump did it as well. This pump is even worse. I used ATF as recommended. There is not a drip of fluid under the truck. I did bleed it turning the wheels right and left making sure it had fluid in the reservoir. If you have any helpful suggestions on what to check. My pumps both contained a nylon washer and a O ring. I used the nylon washer and had to enlarge it as the instructions say by using warm water and a dowel.

power steering pump

Here's what fixed it. Bought a Ford remanufactured a new pressure hose bled the system and flushed it one wee and fluid level is constant and I have continuous power steering. I also notice that when purchasing the new line the nut portion slides on the end so i was wondering if the O rings or what ever material is used to seal it degrades over time? Thanks for the help.
