naw man , its the same exact paint , at both places , same can and everthang , but when walmart aint got my color in stock i buy it at advance or oreillys ....

the cans look like this

it says " Durable formula that resists temperatures up to 500°F intermittently. Ceramic Resin gives maximum heat dissipation. High gloss finish resists oil and gas and will not blister, flake, crack or peel."

If you want something to last buy DURON from a Auto Body/Paint store and apply it with a Preval Spray system.

The Spray Bomb paint is just a marketing tool.

hey that can is the SH"t, i have a rebuilt 390 that i painted grabber green. i looks fricken cool. block pan manifold all green headers valve covers are gloss black and the original air cleaner is black with a green ring looks sweet. the coil you can take a moster energy drick can cut it down the back and cut the tops off and slide it over your coil it looks cool. nice choice of color though

I think in his case, he just opened the hood and aimed the can in the engine's general direction

No offense, but that's kind of what I'm thinking happened.

Take a pic after you use the truck a couple times(and if there wan't a good prep job, then you'll see that stuff flack off pretty quick).

Either way, at least you fixed the over heating problem.

When you rebuild, blue is the way to go. I actually like the Ford True(dark)Blue.

This reminds me of an episode of Mythbusters. The one where they tried to use explosives to paint a room. I think this guy taped a stick of dynamite to a $5 can of spray paint. Why in the He77 would you paint your carb? and all the hoses/wires? Just out of curiosity why didnt you paint your fan belt pulley and fan blade? Let me guess...ran out of paint?
Sorry to be so hard on you but 5 min of thought and 10 min of prep wouldve made a 1000% better job.

i sprayed engine brite degraser chit on the motor and let it soak , then i pressure washed it real good .... it was clean ...

and i did paint the fan belt pulley and fan blades , there silver....

the reason i didnt tape anythang off is b/c the hoses and stuff r all gonna be new ....

and i painted to carb b/c i wanted to ....

and on my way home today , my fuel pump went out ..... so i had to get it towed home .... so now i got to buy me a fuel pump , but i just bought me a 99 f150 4wd , so my 77 want ever get drove , it aint gonna have no insurance ,so it will sit in the yard , until i get the motor rebuilt ....
