Rebuilt motor pics. . .
Just sharing, pretty big accomplishment for me. . .hasn't blown up yet, and I'd call it done if it wasn't for the carb leaking on my purty painted manifold
BTW, if you can tell me what the gray tube coming out of the passenger side of the water pump is called I would appreciate it. I have tried all parts stores and even a dealer and nothing. . .and mine has a minute leak in it. . .
Anyways, rebuilt 460 I did in the garage over a few months. Block is Grabber Green, heads are Flat Black, manifold and valve covers are Purple from the Metal Cast paint system, water pump is painted aluminum. All rattle can, lol. Front frame area was pressure washed and painted gloss black Rustoleum (brushed).
Man, love that purple color
It's much more put together now, those pics are a few days old but I just have to share

Well now.. that's a brite bit of kit.
I like those colors... just not sure I'd put them all together. Agreed on the purple... it's nice.
If you had a closeup of the water pump it would be easier to say, but I'll take a guess and say it's a heater?

Yes, please post a high resolution picture of the water pump, and we can probably tell you what the grey thing is.

Oh, I know what that pipe is!
And you're not going to like the price.
You're talking about the one that goes to the stepped stud on the front of the righthand head?, mine was leaking from the gland nut seal.
Just had to replace it, and in the morning I'll get you the part # and description. It's dealer only but I don't have my receipts here.
