That is true, of course, but, when you build an engine if you are only going to rev it to 5500 and build it so that it can handle 6000+, then most likely you aren't going to break it. Of course anything can happen.

keep in mind too, in top fuel cars..everything is maxxed out to the limit, god knows how much compression they run even with a supercharger, 6000 hp is not easy =), were just talking about street engines here
