Not sure if the shown bar is the real thing, but Ford actually did offer a flimsy light bar, as well as a push bar and most often on the free-wheeling package. Fairly rare options, and it was never marketed as being roll-over protection. Just simply "show bar" or light bar. Wouldn't want one, of course, though...
Can't remember the companies name off hand but they use to advertise in Truckin' magazine all the time. They offered this conversion kit for almost any truck "under the sun" (sorry weak joke ). I think the company was in California -- which would make sence.
Anybody run that VIN yet ????
F14HLBK5529 is the vin number on it... What... isn't it supposed to be 17 letters? anyway I went to the DMV website and it says it isn't valid. as the Ford website says its not valid... i could be doing somthin wrong.
-Prior to 1981, VINs varied in length from 11 to 17 characters. AutoCheck can only report on vehicles that use a 17 character VIN. Therefore, information on vehicles manufactured before 1981 is limited.
Dmv website. I dont know how to check the Vin now.
