I think he's full of it. But I could be wrong.
1st I'm not aware that Ford ever offered a convertible pickup.
2nd that roll bar looks very flimsy
3rd Image the liability in a roll over accident with that kind of setup.
4th My 1976 service manual lists an F-140 as a F-150 4X4.

Mil1ion, I ask your forgiveness. No slight was intended. In my sporadic typing style I could only think of one person while hunting and poking at my keyboard. In general I am not specific person, it's just to dangerous
Does anyone else have this F140 on their plate? We should email him a bunch of pics of these plates and let him see how rare his truck is.
I do think if it runs and looks like he claims, it is worth what he's asking. I'd like to see some closeups of the convertable mod.
Also,The E-Bay person selling this truck has been notified of this error
Maybe the F-150 badge on the cowl is a dead givaway that it is not an F-140.
Good luck getting a responce from him Dennis. I emailed him 2 days ago telling him about the truck not being factory and requested to see a copy of the build sheet he has and still have not got it. Below was his responce to my email.
Ford did'nt make a convertible F-series. This guy is trying to sell something to an unsuspecting buyer and he know's it.
HI SCOTT, I THANK-YOU FOR YOUR CAREFUL CHOICE OF WORDS WHEN ASKING QUESTIONS. YES I WOULD BE HAPPY TO E-MAIL YOU A COPY OF THE FACTORY ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER,BUT I WILL NEED AN E-MAIL ADDRESS
PLEASE SEE THE PIUCTURE OF THE FACTORY FORD DOOR TAG.
Dennis your probably gonna be waiting for awhile I still haven't gotten one from him yet either, and for grins and giggles I sent him an "original" window sticker showing a 2005 mustang with a 427 in it, and informed him that can be fabricated just exactly like the truck is and that although it appears to be a really nice looking ride, selling it as a factory original item when it is in fact an after market really gives automotive enthusiasts a bad name and please just be honest about it.
