DP Tuner Installed

Well, I got my new DP Tuner today. I just finished installing it and testing it.
The toyhauler is hooked up and we are headed to Seattle. Let's see how this baby does now.

Come on now, you didn't do a shakedown run to get the jitters of the power out?

Unfortunately time did not allow for a flog run to see if I could break something. Instead we had to get headed north. Ran about 60 miles north to an RV park for the night. I hae to say so far, it has made a huge difference compared to my Edge Juice that I removed in the process of installing the DP. There is more power, better shifting, and I can hold 70 with a lot less throttle effort and that is on 40 tow. I haven't had the gonads to try it on 60 tow with our toyhauler weighing in at 9000 pounds without water.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as you can watch your gauges (you have them, right??). Keep and eye on your EGT & tranny temp and let 'er rip!

I tow 9k lbs in the 60hp setting all the time. Keep an eye on the egt's and take it out of OD on the hills when the temps hit the limit.

Yep, I do have gauges. Being a diesel mechanic by trade, that was the first install.

Whitetr, that is a good looking list. Up next ought to be the fuel system mods.

That is the plan at this point. This is my second powerstroke, the first was a 2000 ECSB but we outgrew it. So I went searchng for an 03 CCLB Lariat. Ended up finding this one with 60,000 miles on it. Only had it since the beginning of April. So I have started over with the mods. I am going a different route this time than last.

On a different note. I pulled the toyhauler from Woodland Wa. to Kent Wa. in the 60tow mode, that is defenitely the way to go for semi flat highway driving. Rarely dropped below 70mph and had no problems passing. A huge difference from the Edge Juice I had before. Now that the trailer is unhooked, it is time to go play a bit and see what kind of power this baby realy has.
More later.
