Edge verses DP
I got an awesome deal on the Edge Evolution off ebay and got it updated and the truck runs awesome. I only set the tow mode due to no $... Will be driving over 3000 miles this month on a cross country trip pulling a 9,000 boat and trailer from Seattle to Lake Powell and back.
Question is, has anyone sent in their Edge Evolution to get reprogrammed by Jody? If so, I may try it after hearing all the great things about DP and Jody. I am happy with the truck now and plan to install EGT set up later to try the higher Edge settings but if DP is that good, has anyone had him reprogram the Edge?

I don't think Jody does programmers....just chips and PCM's.
While I don't know, I would think that Jody's stock tunes and the Edge programs are pretty similar since the guy that writes Edge's programs is the same guy that taught Jody.
Anybody had both that has done a head to head?

I just bought a edge and put it in my 02.
It has 3 setting but its kind of confusing.
The first setting is called Emission
The second setting is Tow.
And then theres Race!
Reading the instruction book it looks like I should only tow big loads on Emmision?
But the second setting says Tow?

it's just what they call it for what it's GENERAL use will be .. look at what horsepower / torque increases you'll get from each setting.
For towing put in the "tow" mode .. if you're going to pull a heavy load, plug it in and dial it down a notch ...

and that guy would be Ken Mosher. (Edge) Dude really knows his stuff. My Evolution has tow, race, extreme. On the extreme setting seems all I have to do is think about the throttle and it goes. Very touchy.

So do you tow in your second setting? (race)
By the way when mines on its third setting and you punch it it will go sideways on dry pavment.
I turned it down to the second setting after playing with it for a few days.

I actually tow on "tow" and set the Attitude for stock. It was a very pleasant run with 15K lbs. of asphalt roller from Austin to Dallas.
I think the idea is that you want "a little" more power than what the stock tune has to offer.
