unprogram keyless entry remote

unprogram keyless entry remote
I need to unprogram the remote to my 97 explorer because it is prgrammed to both my explorer and my mustang!

I have tried removing the batteries and reprogramming to the mustang but no luck any help would be grately appreciated.

Just redo the programming procedure with the remotes you intend to use with the vehicle you intend to use them with. You'll need all of the remotes you intend to use at the same time for programming the car to them. Then, the one's you've programmed will be the only ones that work with it.
