I've got a problem with my window not rolling down. the dealership told me it was the motor so I changed that myself (super easy) but that did not solve the problem. when I first installed it I hit the button and it went up a tiny bit so I know it will roll the window up but when I try to roll it down I just get a clicking sound under the dash. I switched the relays around and it does the same thing no matter what relay is whatever spot. Does anyone know what my problem could be?

 

I pulled the motor out and hooked both the new and old one up hanging freely from the door and neither of them work going down but work fine going up. all 3 other windows work fine so it must be a relay or the switch right? how do i test them?

 

Pull the switch out. You should have power on the lightblue/black. When you push the switch to up, you will have power on the white/black. When you push the switch to down, you will have power on the tan/lightblue.

 

I just tested that and everything has .18 volts when it should so now I'm really at a loss. what else would make that relay trip?

 

ok now this is wierd. I cut the wires coming from the rocker switch and crossed them to see if the motor would turn the opposite direction and now it works both ways and the relay doesnt click anymore. unless someone see's a problem with that I'm just going to leave it alone and call it good. i dont even care if the switch works backwards at this point.
