not quite, although we are a aftermarket parts manufacturer the company has strayed away from performance, and solely does factory tunes. i can reprogram the newer obd-2 computer with new calibration files completely or just update the calibration with a newer version.

burnstoughford,

i don't have anything in front of me now but tuesday i'll find out for sure and once i got it on the same day tuesday i'll let you know how it worked. i have this insanly expensive machine which i can control each individual function, for each vehicle make and model.

so i will make a 4.6 99 f150 ecu calibrated with the 5.4 file. then i will run it on the 4.6 f150 test (automatic testing done by equiptment) and see what errors if any are produced. alright?

well if you have a computer i can just change the calibration on it i would only charge like 20.00 plus shipping of course.

but if you need the whole ecu 100.00 shipped, i'll remanufacture it, stand by it with a 12 month guarantee.

Thumbs up

I think I speak for a lot of people when I still get excited about all the knowledge to be had on this site and how cool it is when you get hooked up with the right person or get that key piece of knowledge - I'm interested to know how this whole 4.6 to 5.4 conversion goes with keeping the stock harness and computer (if possible). I'm learning a lot with a power option upgrade and getting deep into the workings of the body wiring harness - I still curse the ford engineers but then again some of the gagetry I curse less and less - espicially the more I understand it. Granted I love being able to work on my 65' 352 V8 and sit in the engine compartment and change plugs and tune it etc - the power that can be made of a smaller engine with better gas mileage, fewer emisssions and more creature comforts is ok too... just my thoughts... (for today anyway!!)
