portable air compressor

I need a good portable air compressor to keep my tires aired up on the road. What brand would you all recommed and where would I buy one Thanks Bing

go buy one at pep boys that has a power inverter and a jump pack and compressor all in one. i have one like that.

made by interdynamics model hd300 air compressor plugs into cigerette lighter and can run for 8hrs stright, it has its own cooling fan. or any of viair compressors that are out there they are 300+ range where the hd300 is under a hundred $ i use a $10.0 special i got from kragens 4 years ago and still works good i keep it in the rockkrawler

I've got a rechargeable Campbell-Hausfield($39) that I bought at Walley World. It will pump up 4 flats usually before recharge is needed and you can recharge it with one of those $12.95 100w dc/ac inverters from a truckstop. I keep one in my door for my laptop. I like it because of the no cord portability feature@ pumping up atv tires and trailer tires. It's a cheaper smaller setup than the booster pack and a little lighter in weight. However booster packs offer more power for jump starts and usually pump to higher pressures. Andy

I bought one a Sam's Club. It runs off it's own battery or 12v cigar plug. To recharge it, you can use the cigar plug, or connect any extension cord to it and it will charge (no need for an additional "special" plug). One of the selleing factirs for me on this one, was it has a Hi Pressure line for tires and a Hi Volume line for inflating floats or useing it as a blower. Works for me... no more huffing and puffing to blow up the kiddie floats!

your right, I forgot it came with that cigerette plug in, also a lighter to lighter plug for charging the battery thru the lighter if i remember right, now what did i do with them? Andy
