Good find Jim. But I want Steve to buy tn's tire, cut a cross section out of it, and while measuring it with calipers, take a picture and post it. Till then I'm staying with my opinion.

I found out about knifing a tire sidewall when making bumpers for a boat dock. I've seen it done in the movies and didn't believe it could be done very easily. You can sure ruin somebodys day with a knife if you wanted to, not me though

now see, you are starting to sound like a volvo costumer you obviously cut the tire offroading or something and now you want bfg to pay for it. dont't say i didn't say so. it's all good bud, just repalce it. big boy toys big bucks
