Since it looks like you are an expert on whipping F1 fenders into shape, feel free to make the long trip down here to New Mexico and bang on mine a little bit.
Well, I am not really sure what kind of look Im going for. Just low and clean I suppose. I wanted to chop the top, but I'm having trouble locating a decent cab to get the extra metal from. Maybe one day down the road. As for color, I have no idea right now. I want to stay flat on it, so I was thinking about this color called "maize yellow" on the Hot Rod Flatz website, or maybe a flat red, since I found out the original color of te truck was vermillion. Who knows. It will probably be in red oxide primer for some time, until I figure it out. Right now, I just want to start driving it. Im trying to build it to be my daily driver. Oh, and it is not lead in the seams. I took everything apart, grinded the seams good and filled it with weld. We will see if it ends up cracking or not down the road. Thats another reason I havent decided on final paint yet. Oh well, back to the garage. Hope everyone is having a good weekend.
I haven't figured it out yet. I don't know what the 302 is out of yet either, but I think it is early 70's. It also has an 8 3/4 inch chrysler rear in it. It is the 489 which means 69 or later (from the stamp on the side of the housing), most likely out of a charger or something along those lines. Once I figure out where everything came from, I will be sure to post it.
