Has anyone ever painted their upper plenum on the EFI Bronco's? If so what kind of paint did you use and does it work with normal paint? I found some paint by rustoleum that is called hammered and gives it this neat textured look. Does the paint last? Or is the only way to do it by powder coating it? I would rather not spend the money to do that. I am just tired of looking at the grease stains on it because the aluminum absorbs so much.
Gacknar, I also see by your signature that you have converted to mass air. How is that working for you? Once I get the new pistons in my engine that is what I plan on doing. I have purchased a A9P ecu from an 89 and also a cobra mass air meter calibrated for 19lbs. injectors. I still need the wiring harness. Did you get a pre-made one or did you do it yourself?
Some have coatings on them so the brightener wont work on all . I got gassed trying to strip one once but thats another story. I use the hammer paint on mine 7 yrs ago still on there and hose right off.
