I just got a 2007 f-150 with the keypad under the door handle, and after reading in the manual I am still unsure how to set this. Any help is appreciated.
Do you have the original code that was assigned to the Truck? It will be on a card in the binder with the manuals and stuff. I bought mine used and found it in between some pages of the manual. If you do not have the original code you can get it from the dealer by them running a scan on it, but they will probably charge you or it is behind the seat on a box back there. The original factory code has to stay and you can set one personal code I believe. But w/o that factory code you won't be able to do anything.
Somone wrote on a business card the code... but i can't seem to get it to work either.. migth be the wrong code I can't find the original card so i suppose i have to rip the back seat apart is this a PITA?
If you don't want to mess with that you may check w/ a dealership or the dealer you bought it from and see what they would charge you. Might be easier and quicker than messing with the other. But I guess it also depends on what your time is worth to you.
If you say the code on the business card is not working either, then I would go to the dealer. If the one they gave you is not working or not the correct number they should do a scan and get the correct number or fix it for you.
