Where do I find my computer code?
I am wondering about buying a diablo racing chip, and I was wondering where I find out my computer code and why do I need to know it? If you know please write back. Thanks!

By racing chip, do you mean a custom chip for nitrous, a supercharger, etc? Or are you referencing to a stock truck/suv? If stock, then its a performance chip, not a racing chip. The performance chip is not designed for racing. Our racing applications require custom code and a release form.
We need the ECU code because a chip is programmed specifically for your ECU code. If we get the wrong code the truck/suv won't start. What vehicle do you have? Let me know and I'll tell you how to locate it.

Where do I find my computer code?
Hey. I have a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT and I want to put a Diablo chip in it to increase hp and shifting. So do I need a code or not. It didnt say I needed one on the Diablo site. Aight W/B, Thanks!

Yes, you need a code for all Fords. You can buy the chip here, for less than you can from Diablo and proceeds go to the operation of the site. Open the hood and look on the top of firewall, towards the center/passenger side. You'll side a box sticking out with a large wiring harness going into it held in place with a bolt in the middle of the harness. On this box you'll see a 4 digit code that is three letters followed by one number.
