I was just going to mention peppermint. My grandmother always planted peppermint plants all around her cottage. Kept all the rodents and crawling bugs out.

Raise pet squirrels....

(?)

They already come up there, they can't get into your apt. Keep the plants inside, and attract them with peanuts or such.

Have you ever had a squirrel share a lunch with you, an inch away, and been able to pet it?

They will be there anyway. Consider them "FUZZY" neighbors.

You surely can't get rid of them all, even if you arm every juvenile in sight with a BB GUN...
(OH DEAR - there go the windows...)

I knew a lady who had squirrel problems in her attic. She paid a guy to soak a small rag or something in Red Fox Urine and those squirrels came flying out of there. I dunno if it might get rid of the birds too though.

They ARE considered by some to be "TREE RATS".

RAT TRAPS are available at any hardware store...

How do they get up there?

If they have to climb something - put a rat deflector on it just like the cones that go over mooring lines for ships.
