I just bought a set of 22in magnaflows, I like that they are not chambered like flowmasters. I hope that because they are about 8in longer than most other mufflers sound will be nice
You will like the sound. They don't have the drone that Flowmasters have. Mine are run all the way out the rear. Nice throaty sound when you mash on it.
powersticks are chambered mufflers, small in diameter. mine are 20" long. since they are small in diameter, they will fit better tucked up between the drive shaft and frame. the flow masters are just below the frame rails. just go to www.powerstick.com they have sound clips.
Personally I like flowmaster I hate to pay the price so I started making my own. But do your research most muffler brands have sound clips and buy the sound you like not what you were told to buy.

I can get you some high quality copies for a fraction of the price. The quality is just as good as the real deal.
I don't know if I understand what the differences and pro/con of all these mufflers are.....sadly, I've only ever bought mufflers for Air-cooled VW's before, of which there about 2 types.....lol......
Seems I'm looking at the "flowmaster" mufflers based on good commentary I have heard....but I don't get the difference, etc for a 40 series Delta flow vs. Super 40 vs. super 44 vs. 40 series Street and strip. Then there is what is the benefit of a "3 chambered" vs. a "2 chambered" muffler?
Are there certain ones that trucks should use over others....or is all this just purely a matter of essentially equal choices?
I got just 24" glass packs on mine, they're pretty loud, and with a finely tuned carb do not pop a lot, just a hair on decel. however, i don't know what kind of performance they added over whatever was on it to begin with, as these were already on here with true duals when i bought it. they are pretty quiet inside the cab down the highway, as i can tune them out with a cd player and the cheap speakers i got.

Here's what I know about the 2 and 3 chambered Flowmasters: If you're running a big block, or in our case an FE, go with 3 chambers. Smaller engines will do fine with the 2 chamber. The biggest difference is the two chambered are just too loud for the bigger engines.
Well, I had to go with the Dynomax 85066 headers...as they seem to be the *ONLY* ones that fit the "High Boy" trucks....same as the leaking/bent ones I already have... I'm looking towards the flowmaster 50's....as it seems I need a 3-chambered muffler for the 390.
