I bought a set of SSAutoChrome headers for my 1999 F350 4X4 V10. I have an EGR tube that goes to the right side manifold. Can I omit the tube or do I have to weld a bung on the new right side header. I also have 8 broken bolts to remove. anyway to do it easily. I have the old style y pipe. What is the best unit for it. Can I get rid of the cat and go with true duals? What is offered for this truck? I have looked in your V10 and exhaust sections with no help. I need to do something asap because I'am going on vacation with a 35' camper in tow. Thanks for any help. Ron
You should of ordered the headers for EGR. You have to weld a fitting in for the EGR, because your truck has EGR. You will have to keep the cat converter even if you swap it out for a higher flow one.
There are several threads in the V10 section about Y-pipes. Stan's headers make one as well as a guy on E-bay. A guy here put a Flowmaster Y-pipe on his or you could get one custom fabbed.
Several manufacturers make cat-back exhaust systems (Magnaflow, JBA, Flowmaster, Banks and Etc.) for the V10 or just get one custom bent at an exhaust shop.
