I am in a predicament. I am stuffing a 460 and c-6 into
my 49 f-1. I think i need shorty headers but would prefer
long tube. Can any body tell me about what might fit or if you have
a good used set laying around, of either style.
Thanks for any input.
Ron
I put a 460/c-6 in a '53 which has wider frame and with a Volare front clip had a hell of a time finding something to fit... Sanderson split a set from two different models that finally worked. I hit the upper control arms on the right side. After thinking my clearance problems would be on the left !!!
Give them a call and see what they offer... they are very helpful and have a load of 460 headers... but they ain't cheap $465 for jet coated set...
Thanks, john
appreciate the info. do you happen to remember which sets they
used?. My chassis is stock width, w/ the MII front suspension.
I also set the motor back almost to the firewall, about 1/2" clear
from firewall to back of the valve cover.
Tnx, Ron
