I have a 1973 Bronco. I'm looking for a way to decode my VIN number and the other information on the tag in the glove box. I tried some of the Bronco websites but their info is incomplete or incorrect. Is there a way through the Ford company to find out or does anyone have the correct information?
You can contact Ford directly to get a VIN report. There are a couple of different addresses floating around, but the one I use is:
Ford Motor Company
Customer Relationship Center
P.O. Box 6248
Dearborn, Michigan 48126
Send them the VIN and they'll send you a report with the original equipment and options for the vehicle as it left the factory. This usually takes 4-6 weeks.
