Vent Shades / Rain Guards

Anyone have a recommendation for VentShades / Rain deflectors for an F250 SD crew cab? Exterior adhesive the way to go, or in channel? Any good brand names?

I've tried EGR in-channels and WeatherTech in-channels. I prefer the WeatherTechs. WeatherTechs come in two shades: light smoke and dark smoke.

There is no interference with the window at all? How do they secure in the channel?

I completely agree. I sell EGR inchannels all day because of the price, but I have Weathertech in my truck. The rears have tape, but the fronts are friction fitted. With some of the new trucks, you may have to help the window up and let it sit against the weather seals for a few hours to let them relax, but they do setting in quickly.

As ReAX said, I had to help the windows up with my hand when I first installed them. Now that the weather is getting warm, the weather stripping is shaping better with them, and the windows go all the way up on their own. When you are putting the front ones into the channel, you have to flex them pretty hard to get them in. They aren't gonna come back out on their own. The back ones have a thin strip of doublesided tape to secure them to the inside of the channel. If you go with in-channel, spend the extra $20 for the WeatherTechs vs. the EGRs.

I prefer Autovent Shades myself. The ones that stick to the rubber window molding. The channels tend to rattle with the windows down. Really like the rear window cover as well.

None of my customers have said anything about rattling, but a little piece of double sided molding tape would cure it.
