car show, How many 73-79 crew 4x4's made? Want to put info on sheet to view at show

Anybody know the number of 73-79 CrewCab 4x4 Shortbeds totaly produced???

I am going to put my 79 crew in an all Ford car show in June. I think it will definately turn heads since aroung here they are rare as hens teeth. When I do take it for a sping I have had people at every stop I make, (or at least it seams) ask about it.
Plus, its a shortbed, Dana 60's front and rear, 4 wheel discs, 460 with Edelbrock carb/Intake and L&L headers. Has the dule chrome and the paint scheme is light blue and silver. Had the inside of the box line-x'd. This project took 4 years to complete with about 2 years of keeping an eye out looking for good metal before I started. (No aftermarket metal).

Has A/C, F-350 brake booster, original sport wheel, tilt, delay and lighted sunvisors.
Also, put in a power rear sliding window.

It has all synthetic lubes, everywhere. Used quite coat and dynamat in cab, doors and fenders. Por-15'd the behazeus out of it. I am sure I am missing something. Anyway, any help would be great so that I can make up a sheet on it and post it by the truck with crewcab history and what mods I have done.. thanks guys

You have the CR Lawence power slider? How you like it? Easy to install. I have NO idea about the total produced crewcabs though.

I have no clue on the number made either, but I would love to see some pics of your truck. It's what mine wants to be when it grows up...

I can't believe you have this great truck and you don't have a gallery to show to all the FTE fans. It sounds great and I would like to see it.

Hey guys,

The crew is turning out nice. Right now I am waiting on my door panel inserts that I took to an upolsterer. Nothing real fancy but nice. I also want to get the seats redone. They are not bad but, would like em recovered. They are from a 96 I think. I also need to get a nerf bar or some kind of step into the cab. I love stainless, so thats what it will be.

I never tried to put pics in so when I get the door panels installed I will do that.

As for the rear slider, yes. Its a CR Larence. Easy to install and the 4 o 5 times I have used it, it works great.

Any body out there no the build numbers for crews???? thanks from Iowa

Classyfish.

First off they didn't make any in the form of your truck.

Thre 460 in 4x4 was not introduced until 1983.

All CC's were LB with 165.5 " WB

Out of 72,674 CC's made in 1979

13,081 were 4x4's (18 %)

So that truck would go in the Modified class

I like the 460 that is why I installed it. I also went away from original when I put in rear disc brakes, and sliding rear power window. I don't think that hurts the value besides I am not planning on selling.

Thanks for the info

Come on Dennis, you know better All CC were long beds? Most were not long beds my 73 is a short bed and I dont think I have ever seen a factory long bed in person.

As Dennis said, all CC's were long beds with a wheel base of: 165.5"

ALL F350 Crew Cabs were long beds, all F250 Crew Cabs were short beds.

Short beds have a shorter wheelbase (150") than a long bed (165.5")

Am I missing somthing? What do you mean as Dennis said all CC were long beds? Maybe all F350 CC were long beds would be correct but not all CC were long beds.

Correct terminology is important.

You only picked out a portion of what I said

Note the passage: All CC's were LB with 165.5 " WB

I should have noted F350 CC's because that was what I was referring to due to the wheelbase of 165.5" ...I had at the end.

Not sure why I concentrated on just F350's though.Maybe the reference to the F350 brake booster.

F250 CC's on the other hand had SB's and a WB of 150"
