There are all kinds of ****** ropes and/or recovery ropes. The best ones are made out of nylon. Because they stretch they have kinetic energy which helps tug your vehicle out faster with less effort. Check out www.Bubbarope.com for a new kind of rope that is UV and waterproof. The size of the rope will depend on the size vehicle you have and how deep in the mud you are.
I don't really worry about the brand of a recovery strap. So long as its got a good rating and it doesn't snap while using it.
