So what is the proper length for a 4x4 dip stick for a 360? I just changed my oil and replaced six quarts like my Haynes manual indicated and my dip stick is still not reading 'FULL'. Mine doesn't have any Ford part numbers on it and it measures 23" from tip to ring.

FREEDOM FORD in Thatcher AZ has ONE = 928-428-1770.
No other Ford Dealer, no obsolete parts vendor has any.
Most FoMoCo dealers who have obsolete parts will charge a fair price, some will even sell the parts for less than they paid for them.
The reason is...when the part goes obsolete, the dealer cannot return it to Ford, so...is STUCK with it.
I found a brand new pair of 1961/63 telescoping mirror installation kits for a member at a dealer in KS. These fit into the door slots and were only used 1961/63.
They charged him 38 bucks total for both kits, the original 1963 prices.
The same dealer had a right quarter panel Race Track moulding that was only used with the side mounted tool box on 1977/79's.
The member that needed it was charged the original 1979 MSRP of 40 bucks.
