Remember the last time you took off your girlfirend's or wife's panties.... and you couldn't find them afterwards.....
Well... worry no more.....the Ford "Panty Holder" was invented and included as regular equipment on all Excursions so guy's wouldn't have to worry where they went went they were finished!!!!!
I used it to tie up a couple of migets before I played with them a little.
Panty Holder - a great thread! No wonder Ford is losing money! Putting a panty holder in an Excursion is silly. They should put them in the Mustang, not the world's greatest kid and toy hauler. We have been married 22 years and have five kids and looking for a dog. That is the least of my worries.
Happy Mothers day to all the moms out there, we love you with or without your panties.

A Musrang... ever tried doing it in a Mustang... OUCH!!!!
Now... my Excursion has all the room and multiple seats to "mess around" in... now that is a great "wild and crazy guys" mobile!!!
Silly Silly Men hand the keys back to your wife, She knows what the hook is for. When we are flying around driving your kids all over town in Our Truck we dont want to keep picking our purse up off the floor so Ford put a hook for us
I've never seen anyone mention where to put brake control box. I removed the funny looking "purse hook" and used the existing bolts (-w-10mm head) to mount a power brake controller for trailers. It looks almost factory as it sits perfect in the recess.it is also close enough for reaching the panic bar on the controller. The factory harness for connecting the brake unit is close and the finished installation looks better than that hook. Make sure to save the hook for the eventual resale as the grocery getting people will be confused with those flashing lights.(sorry gals).
2002 Limited -w- 6.8L & loving every journey I take -w- wife , 2 kids , a big dog and have enough room for the kitchen sink if required.
Yep that's where my Prodigy is too. Fit that cubby perfect . One hand is now permanently smaller than the other though; due to skin lose getting the wiring harness plugged into the truck . Less space under the dash of a Ex than the interior of a Festiva ........ well almost .
Why butcher the cubby hole to fish a wire through? The hook removal area took less than 2min. to install the bracket and afterwards I still have a place for my billfold. (empty of money - 2 girls & wife). I just thought I'd give another option to the people thinking about installing a controller. I also installed a quick disconnect in harness so if you only occasionally tow a large trailer you can quickly reconvert to stock and keep controller from damage. Thanks aklim I enjoy reading your experiences and expertise -w- your EX., Rich.
I stuck my controller immediately under cubby... I kinda like the cubby for odds and ends (a guy always has 'stuff' to store.. right?) Personally, I found the hook a bit to far and low to reach in case I needed to pull the manual lever on my prodigy... I would have to take eyes off the road to get to it...
I had to use the link above to figure out what the heck ya'll were talking about. I have a 2000, w/the ashtray, although it's use is a spare change holder, since I quit smoking 13 years ago.
