7.3 Stalling out!!

Hey guys I need a little help. I have an 03 Ex with the 7.3 PSD, programmed with a Superchips on Tow/Mod Perf setting. It is stalling at traffic lights when I am stopped and today as I was coasting to the stop it stalled. I run diagnostics and nothing shows up on the codes. Any thoughts on what I should check? It runs great other than that.

I have been having the same problem.. I did have some codes come up this last time, which indicated that the CAM SHAFT SENSOR was going out.. So I replaced it with one from Auto Zone for $30 ($147 @ Ford) Not sure if this will solve the problem but it has not happen over the last two days since I changed it..

Also, you may want to bleed your diesel water value at the top of your engine, might have some water in the fuel.. and also change the fuel filter.. I also put some Booster in the fuel as well, this helps get the water out.. my has a major problem stalling when it rains.. and in Austin, that has been A LOT LATELY!!

Good Luck

Thanks tomcat, I just changed the fuel filter in January when I changed all the fluids and did the 60K service. I will check on the cam shaft sensor and see if that works. I will bleed the water separator as well, although there is no warning light on the dash. Thanks I will try those to see what happens.

My x did the same but only felt like it stalled while driving. It ended up being a bad throttle pedal assembly sensor. dont know if this helps. doing 70 mph then rpms drop even I thought the engine had stalled . bad feeling when coming back from California . This happend in Arizona in 110degree weather. The x made it back though never left me anywhere. 130,000 mls on the 7.3

CPS would be my guess. You can get them from your dealer now for $18 vs. the old $80 counter part. Good luck

#9 Fuse location?

Where is the #9 fuse under the hood? I am not real familiar with this engine compartment.
