Door Lock Problem

Door Lock Problem
So I hit the button to unlock the truck and I hear a funny noise. I walk around to the passenger side to find THIS.. Not good.
Before I tear the door panel off, how was the cylinder held in place? Some sort of C clip?
Any tips or tricks I need to know about getting the panel off?
All help and suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

There should be a c-clip on the back of the cylinder. It probably broke cuz they don't just fall off. As far as the door panel I use a stiff putty knife (cuz thats all I had) and very gently popped the clips off. I only broke one tab that they hook to. Also take out the screws in the door hand/grab handle. Its pretty easy to pop off just be "gentle" is all I can keep saying.

Go get a handful of replacement clips so you can replace right away any ones you break . It is far easier to just put the panel back on with all the clips intact than it is to later go in and replace broken ones.

Got it fixed. Come to find out I didn't have to mess with the door panel.
There is a slot in the door jam that allows the clip to slide in. Got one from the junk yard and took all of 5 minutes.
