Slam the door real hard and the panel will fly off and land in the center of the seats. 
Just kidding...the light lens at the bottom corner of the panel has to come off. Under it your find a screw, take it out. Next, at the top front of the panel there is a triangle shaped piece. First pull it outward, then upward. Once it's off you'll find another screw, remove that one also. If you have switches in the armrest, pop those up and the 3rd and last screw will be there, remove it. Lastly, pop off the plastic trim ring around the door handle. Lift up and out to take the panel off, as it has plastic hooks on the back of it. Watch for the wire going to the front door panels with the lights.
