This might help some here. I don't recommend using copper either. I recall a friend of mine using it on his Mustang. Something from the street came up and hit the line and tranny fluid went everywhere. Copper is not a strong metal. It conducts electricity well, and works well with air conditioning lines, but not for a truck or car. Another option here is mounting your tranny cooler closer to the transmission. They have the smaller billet coolers now that mount underneath next to the transmission. It doesn't take tons of force of air to cool the transmission. If you go that route, you would only need small lines from the cooler to transmission and not all the way to the front of the radiator.
