So for my B day i got a pioneer in dash dvd player with a screen. It seems like it wont be that bad to hook up, but do any of you guys/gals, knowhow to bypass the ebrake, so a guy can potentially watch it while hes driving?
How is the pioneer quality for these? Any help is appreciated, and I know that they say it is illegal to hook it up this way, and no I wont kill anyone by hooking it up this way, so comments like that, can just kindly be kept to themselves, thanks
Im in canada, no worries man Besides in a truck like mine it just wouldnt be worth it to me to go get a few different moniters!
In all due respect though wileec, I did ask for comments like yours to KINDLY be kept to yourself! Please respect this as I would not go to any post of yours and post comments about avoiding your area, because of something you are curious about!
I beleive I also suggested trying a deeper internet search I am sure you can find your answers I would be glad to assist if I knew what modle of pioneer it is should not take to much time to dig up. Google is a marvelous tool.
The Alpine's are the ones you DO have to do the goofy s&!t with two switches or a switch and the brake. The only exception is the CVA-1000.
Anywho, the Pioneer you dont even need a switch for, just take the parking brake wire to ground, thats it. Take it to ground, call it a day, and sue Pioneer for making it so easy when you wreck because you were watchin TV.
thats not the case with all pioneer units. check my gallery for pics. i have the pioneer avh-p6800dvd. its a 6 disc indash dvd. you must wire a switchin because if you just ground it, it works the frist time. when you shut it off and then restart the truck and try it again, it wont work. you will have to disconnect it and then reconnect it. thats all i did was to wire a switch going to ground. its no power. just a switch thats wired inline with a ground wire.
