I have just discovered much to my wallet's dismay that both sides in the rear of my 94 f50 4x4 have broken leaf springs.
What I am wondering is what other trucks can I swap springs out of? I know I can use other 1/2tons for sure, but what about 3/4 ton springs and out of what years?
I do haul good sized loads from time to time, but I certainly don't abuse it. Just firewood and small loads of dirt for the yard work.
Since I have had this problem before with my previous 94 I would like to beef things up some to avoid having to fix it again. Plus in talking to other people I know with similar trucks of about the same vintage it seems to be somewhat of a common problem.
THANKS in advance!!
About a year ago I had the same problem with my 94. ihad broken leafs on each side
I had 3/4 ton springs put in.I picked them up new and all together it was about 300 dollars. They were for a 250....I couldnt tell you about other years or models. however after all was said and done the new springs did give a little bit more lift in the rear so you might want to keep that in mind
