What size leaf spring bushings

Hello,
I have a 1996 F 150 4x4. I have been working on replacing the rear spring hangers and leaf spring bushings. I went to the local parts store and git all the leaf spring bushings. They double checked that these were the correct parts for my truck. The problem is their front leaf spring bushing is too small in diameter. My spring eye hole measures about 13/4 inches. The replacement bushing is about 11/2 inches. I called and they said the moog part number is correct sb 344 front and sb 336 rear. Anyone know why I am having the problem of the wrong size? The springs have never been out of the truck and I am the second owner, the first being my brother.
Thanks

There were two styles of bushings used for the rear leaf springs on the 80-96 F150
4x4's.

Molded in bushings or bushings that used a metal sleeve

Here's a link for the Energy Suspension web-site which shows the two replacement kits they offer depending if you have the molded or common/metal sleeve type bushings.

Appears Moog only offers a replacement bushings for the sleeve type and your springs have the molded bushings.

My truck has the metal cased bushings. I think I am going to find an after market set. They will be easier to put together. As long as I can find the size.

have same problem, to use sb344, i will make a sleeve for spring. an exhaust adapter, 13/4od x 1 5/8 id, walker 41925 or ni exhaust 17536 is close, a bit loose in spring eye. my spring eye is 1.8" and adapter is 1.75". possibly be able to knurl this to attain press fit, maybe jb it too, but i have a friend that can machine a sleeve. also, that adapter would need cut to length. if anyone has a part number and source for bushing, please share. original sleeve was corroded terribly.

I had same problem until I found Dayton #RB-219 online from several sources. These fit nicely. I put them in the freezer over night then added a little grease on them and hammered them in the next day. Used a block of wood to prevent mushrooming the end of the bolt sleeve. Cost about $17 each.
