Where was this note at. I haven't been able to find anywhere that this is stated?

It is stated in the Options List on the "Order Guide" for one, and this has been the case with the integrated brake controller since it was first introduced in 2005. There are supposed to be a couple of companies that make adapters to allow some electric over hydraulic brake systems to work with the FMC integrated brake controller. I have never used the adapters so i cannot tell you what the limitations are.

I bought mine off the lot. Never seen anything on Fords website. I talked with Carlisle the adapter they had for 05-07 doesn't work on 08's.

The combination of tow command and tow mode working together in a panic stop is incredible. Driving back through the Poconos coming down a long steep hill a car spun out and everyone got on the brakes. The only difference I had a total of over 25,000# to slow down. It amazed me. No pushing or brake lock up, just smooth stopping power. Glad I did not have my older 99, would have ran into someone. Under all stopping conditions it has worked very well. Would not order a truck without it.

I added mine. I have not come across any trailers that would use a TBC. All the trailers I have hauled (a Tahoe boat and several U-Haul trailers) had surge brakes.
