hey everyone what have you done to replace those tiny tiny mirrors on our trucks. Mine have got to go and I wanted some ideas one what to put in its place. For me the bigger the better. I really just dont like the one that attach all the way down you door. You know the ones that look like they are off a old chev tow truck. Thanks for any insights or suggestions.
I would really like some 6"x9" at least. Something like this
well the 6x9 ones you showed are very similiasr to the stock mirrors on my truck and many others. check the pics linkin my sig and go to the 1997 crew cab. i just know if they will cover the holes left by your current mirrors i think they would but not certain
I see yours look pretty good. Thanks for all your replys. I do however want to know if anybody has put those dodge mirrors on. I like those the best, but if I do go with the same type as yours. Did you have to put any type of support for the lower support arm? I wouldn't think so, but I wasn't sure. Thanks
those dodge mirrors are fugly! if you want some big mirrors, get a set off a freightshaker tractor and bolt 'em on. Its been done on many of our shop truck OBS PSD's we have owned. Our you could just go with the nice mirrors Tim's got on his pickup. Good luck!
Sorry I can't get one of better quality right now. I had little automatic mirrors on there. Then after I got it back from a dealer repair they were in total disarray and the adjuster **** did nothing. So, I said screw it, I wanted these anyway. So, I plan on putting the DP Tuner **** in its place...... Ya'know... When I can get one...
Found these guys awhile back. Retrac Mirrors
Mine are like Tims but came with a retractable extension. The problem with them is that the extension is just an aluminum bar and it wobbles like crazy. I think I'm going to replace them with these. (Click here) They're supposed to attach in the same holes as OE and they look much more stable. Tubing instead of flat stock. And with tubing I can use a clamp on wide view under it. These looked interesting too if you want a big rig look. (Click here)
The problem is they don't sell direct and I haven't found a supplier for the ones I want. Every retailer I've found just carries the big rig stuff. Guess I'll have to call them.
