Ok, so I'm still having some issues with my new truck. Power just still isn't there like it should be. Drove a buddies 96 today, same truck more miles, a lot more power. So i started reading more. I saw some posts reguarding the ICP that described my problem pretty well. Pulled to plug off and it's filled with oil. Truck idles smoother with it unplugged. If the ICP is leaking oil up through the terminals into the plug, I'm assuming it needs to be replaced either way. What yall think? Also, is ford the best place to buy one? The local dealer wants $135.. sound right? Thanks in advance...
since i haven't made a sig yet...

Yeah, i took it for a spin and it ran a little better or about the same as it was before. Only differnce was the cel came on. Wasn't on before. I take it the icp can be bad without the cel coming on? I have another truck I drive daily, this one is just a toy that i picked up for a grand a few weeks ago. And yeah, didn't think about the international dealer.. I have an account set up with them.. I sell heavy equipment for a living, should get a deal from them on it. Thanks for the help. Hopefully this will bring her back to life....
As long as the signal from the ICP is not too far out of parameters it will not set the CEL, but when you unplug it and it is sending no signal it will set a CEL. Most parts for our engines are cheaper a an IH dealer that at Ford. Sometimes (if you can wait) you can find things cheaper on ebay.
