i was just checking out some stuff on my truck today. i pulled the plug on the icp sensor. it had oil on the plug. im thinking i remember reading if there was oil on it that it is bad... is this correct? if so is it safe to buy this from advance?
if the icp is bad then my edge ezf probably isnt bad rite? it would have been the icp all along???? maybe....
Almost sound like the same q I asked a couple days ago. I ordered one from Clay,
waiting for it to arrive. Will see if it makes a diff. in how my truck starts.

Ok. I guess I missed yours then. Let me know how it works. Mine starts good. Atleast I think so
If oil is leaking from around the sensor the o-ring is bad. If the oil is leaking through the sensor the sensor is bad. If you remove the ICP connector and start the engine and see oil welling up in the sensor it is leaking throuh it. That sensor is subjected to 500 PSI of oil pressure at idle and the pressure only goes up from there.

it wasnt around the outside. it was on the plug when i pulled it out. i didnt start it while it was unplugged. i saw the oil and wiped it off and pluged it back in..
would the bad sensor cause my edge ezf not to work properly ?
