I recently bought a 1999 e-150 and the gas mileage is terrible as i posted earlier. My friend was about to put in a new air filter and we noticed the fresh air intake hose was missing.
Why would anyone take this off and leave it off? This is similar to a ram air set up and i would assume going over 30 mph would give some boost in free air. Wouldn't this part missing make a significant differance in gas mileage?
And BTW, I don't understand they Ford chose to make the inlet to the air canister only 2 inchs.
