Problem starting Van.
I am having a Problem with My 91 F-150. The last Couple of Days, the ignition switch has felt funny when starting the Van, This Morning It would not start at all, I had to have it towed Home. The Tow truck Driver Could not get the Van to Shift out of Park. I figure it was the Ignition Switch, I replaced the Switch, The Van still will not start, I hear the Fuel Pump go on for a few seconds but nothing happens, It doesn't try to turn over at all, Also I can Move the Shifter without the Keys in the Ignition, foot on the Brake or anything. I am looking for some ideas as to what May be wrong with it, Am I going to have to Put it in the Shop? Like I said, the Van will not even try to turn over So I would have to have it towed agasin and I really can't afford this.

Try to start it with the shifter in nuetral... sounds like your safety switch gave up the ghost. but I think there is something broken in the column itself, too... like the interlock; if you can verify it is in fact broken, you may want to replace the column with a junkyard swap.
