The side view looks like the tailgate sticks out beyond the tail lights. But matches good at top and bottom. Am I seeing this correct in your photos? If you go with factory 2008 taillights would this hide this look? Thanks in advance!

hd4ever yes it sticks out slightly and I belive due to the larger thicker lights on the 08 but its very slight and I perfer my lights over the 08. but it seems the 08s are becoming very poupular.

Just got in from a three day sales meeting, so I hadn't fiddled with this console yet. I did paint an obscure patch with paint closer to the interior color and I have to say- it is remarkably better suited. So, I just taped, prepped and shot this baby entirely in this color and it looks perfect! I did 4 light coats, 15 minutes between them- I wanted no runs at all, and it worked out fine. I won't be able to bolt it in until next weekend, but it's ready to go.

I have one I bought off of ebay. white with a step, was going to put onto my 03 superduty. I am low on money now and would like to sell it..anyone want it let me know...thanks

ok here is the part number
It is referred to as a "roller"
4L3Z-83430B39-AA
cost was $7.90 plus tax
now make sure they ask you whether or not you have the step ladder
say yes no matter what!
The part with for the no step is infact the part for 1999-2007 and it DOES NOT WORK! It must be a entry problem in their system. I went to 2 dealers in the last two days to gain this knowledge.
By the way the wrong part was 8x the cost of the correct one.
Also the insert is not necessary as it is for the 2007 and earlier.
And yes it looks great!
Just have to get the keys swapped around and a little more work on the alignment.
One problem is it tail gate just flops down , I thought it had a pneumatic drop.
