64 short bed step side tailgate question
Hi guys I would like to request some pics from any short bed step side owners. I just got a tailgate for my truck and would like some close up pics of where the hinges mount. Specifically I'm curious to see if the very back edge of the bedsides are notched for the hinges and the gate. I have a feeling that they will have to be notched but would like some confirmation before I start cutting.

I just checked the F-1 and the 64 neither have notches. The hinge is mounted below the flange (bedside) that accepts the tail gate (sides). If this is an original bed you should not have to cut anything.
Even if it is an after market gate it "should" fit with no cutting.
