I was wandering if anyone had the bulb that illuminates the letters on the 4WD Switch go out. Mine actually burnt out and melted. But looking online I cant find a replacement bulb. It is a blue bulb that is attached to a cylinder type thing that twist into the back of the 4WD switch. I was wandering if anyone got this at a local auto parts store and what is it actually called or what I should ask for?

I'd bet it was a 194 bulb...a lot of gauges use those. I'd say just take the bulb with you to Walmart or an auto parts store and go to the lighting area and look around 'til you find one that matches.

If all else fails, you can jump the indicator light circuit and install your own indiator light next to the switch.

yea i checked at the auto store they said thats a dealer only item so im off to a local junk yard to see if there is one i can take out...jus hard to find a truck like mine in those junkyards but they do have plenty of explorers with the same light

It would seem getting a lightbulb from the junkyard would be iffy at best...
Have you priced it out from the dealer? It might be worth it to not have to pull it apart again in a month when the junkyard bulb burns out...
