hpop questions
re: engine starts but runs rough, no throttle, and after o-10 minutes of running on a few cylinder, catches and runs fine. very intermittent. sometimes no prob for weeks, sometimes everyday. yesterday opened hpop port, oil ok. added marvel mystery oil to free possible stuck check valve. any thing else i can do if it is the check valve in hpop? is it possibly bad hpop sensor? is there a checkk valve anywhere else in fuel system, return line, fuel pump? thnks for the help.

Do you have any gauges to monitor boost and EGT's during the first 10 minutes? If so, is the boost low and EGT's higher than normal?
Also, does the check engine light come on at all during this time?

sorry, no guages. can borrow. what am i looking for? local ford dealer had truck but could not find anything wrong, during one of intermittent episodes when there is no prob. mechanic friend said sometimes on gmc return line breaks in fuel tank causing return line to drain, then air in injectors. dont think that the case. now carry allens to check hpop when prob occurs again.

will check injector connections next. after a week of running great decided to act up again last night in rain storm so did not check hpop oil level. seems if i turn the key on, let the fuel pump run, do that a coulple of times then it starts and runs good. maybe coincidence. thanks for the advice. sr.
