I need to replace all of the gears in the rear end of my 98' F-150 XL. I am curious to see if any of you know of a place to get the gears and what else I might need. Also, I'm wondering how involved this process will be? Is it something that I can do myself? Any help woud be greatly appreciated sine I need to do this ASAP.

If you never did it before you will need to take it to a good shop. You would spend more on tools then the gears.
What size rear is it? I have the gears out of my 03 and an open dif with very low miles on them.I may save you some money.
motive, superior and richmond are what they offer, i am yet to make the purchase but have heard motive's are a good choice. this is my 1st 4x4 and first gear purchase so im a total rookie here.

I have heard good replies about Richmond gears but bad things about Motive and Superior;they make alot of noise!
