I went to P.A this morning to give my daughters car a boost when all of a sudden this guy pulls right up beside me in this Explorer which was chugging pretty roughly. Anyways I was kinda pissed at him because there was a whole fricken parkin lot with emty stalls and he has to pick the one right beside me , go figure. Anyways got the daughters car started ,she left the key in the on position then pulled her keys out and went in to work .and by the time she was done work the battery must have died been left in the on position all day long. Then this guy starts the Explorer and moves it to another stall infront of me and i seen white smoke pouring out of his exhaust pipe and we got chatting and he was telling me he was going to sell it to the local wrecker and i asked hime how much they were going to give him for it and he said 200.00 bucks. Then he asked me if i was intersested in it and i said i might be as i had the wife with me and woukld run it by her . I told him the head gasket is probably fried . The price seemed right but it was full of cancer. It had a 4 liter in it with 200,00 showing on the odometer. Also had one new tire on front.. Anyways i decided against it for now lol.

 

It does sound tempting but like you I would probably pass too. Too many projects and not enough time/money but mostly liekly it would be worth it for parts.

 

Definatly cheap, but also, its just an explorer lol.

 

Lol yeah just an explorer price is right but sounds wore out eh nothing like the good ol trim package F100/F150 Explorer
