Some 'kid' egged my beloved '00 Ranger last night.
Some kid was about to dump his grass catcher in my side yard yesterday afternoon, so, I whistled to get his attention, and let him know that 'that' was not the place to dump his clippings.
He glared at me, then took two steps, and started to dump.
I whistled again, and politely informed him that dumping his clippings in/on my lawn was not where they belong, and he needs to go put them in a bag, for the county to pick up on Monday.
Well, he went back up the street to the house where he was cutting grass, and didn't return.
Fast forward to today. . . . . .
I had to meet my oldest daughter today and the truck was the only vehicle available, so, I grabbed the keys and headed out the door.
I get beside it, and what did I notice?????
Eggshells all over the ground, and dried egg all over the driver's door, the glass and it's even between the door and the door jamb.
I called the local poh-leeeeeeeese and file a report.
I gave the poh-leeeeeeeeeeeeeese the same story (above) and without proof that 'this kid' did it, he can't do a thing.
He did write a report, though.
When the poh-leeeeeeeeeeeeeese left, I drive the truck up the driveway and around the house and pull it into the back yard.
(Front hose bib isn't on for the season, yet.)
Well. . . . I scrubbed the truck with car wash and a SOFT brush and warm water.
For now, it looks pretty good. Nice shiny red paint.
I just hope I got the egg off before it etched the paint.
Bottom line. . . why can't kids mind their own business and not vandalize someone's property when they are asked to do the right thing???
Sorry for the rant.

A same type situation happened to me last Halloween. I knew the kid did it but had no real proof. Saw him two days later and told him other kids had told me he did it. He denied it, but I told him the next time anything happened on my property, I was calling the State Police and sending them to his house. No further problems.......
Shame you can't shoot them like they did in the good old days!
12Ga. with ROCKSALT LOADS!
And YES!!! I've had to dig it out of my behind before, My dad didn't whip me for doing it,,, He figured I'd have enough punishment for the dirty deed of stealing a watermelon from my Uncles next door neighbor. Except he used a 20Ga.!
Watch for when the little jerk gets his own set of wheels. After he shines it up just right, send the bird squadron over and drop a few..
If he still has a few years it would give you plenty of time to train a few pidgeons for the manuver...
Sounds like a lot of work. I would rather spend a nice day fishing. After cleaning all the fish. Take the internal remainders and put them through the blender. Then pour the fish shake into thier defroster. Roll the windows up and lock it. It will make a lovely preminant odor on a hot summer day. He'll be lucky if he ever gets that smell out of his nose
Who ever said " Revenge is better servered cold! " Never entered my relm of thinking. I say. " Revenge is better served hot and rancid! " I love putting the vile into evil.

Because people either just don't discipline their kids or are afraid to discipline them because of cps. They feel that the world owes them something. If I did something like that my parents would've beat my behind and made me clean it myself.

That sums it up pretty darned well.
This 'kid' looks to be between 12 and 15.
If I put a hand on him, I'd be locked up for 30 years.
I'll wager a tidy sum that his parents don't know what he does from one day to the next. On the other hand, they may even be teaching him how to cause mayhem and destruction/vandalizm. (I wouldn't doubt it for a minute!)
My neighborhood is cultivating a crop of real hoodlums. We've had tire slashings, windows shattered, vinyl siding damaged by rocks, etc., etc., etc.
The local poh-leeeeeeese (sorry, police/sherrif's dept.) are either too lazy, or don't give a hoot.
I know a majority of the older veterans on the sheriff's dept., here. They're biding their time, and can't wait to retire.
Closed circuit tv cameras are getting cheaper all the time. These days, the only way
to get any remedy from the law is to have image evidence of the act. The police in
my area without such evidence will only ask: "Exactly what is it you would like me to
do for you?" Which means:"Sounds like you have a personal problem to me."
